Minis@Matts provides a welcoming space for parents, carers and children to enjoy time together and with others from their local community.
When: Every Tuesday and Wednesday during (public) school terms.
Time: 9:30am – 11:30am
Where: Lower hall of St. Matthew’s Anglican Church
Cost: Small donation towards craft and materials
We enjoy both indoor and outdoor play experiences. It is a wonderful time for mums, dads, grandparents and carers to enjoy some quality playtime with their children, though this is not child minding, and carers must maintain responsibility for their children. The morning is structured for carers to bond with their children and form connections with other adults. For children, the morning includes free play time, singing/music time, craft and story time. Everyone enjoys a shared morning tea.
Each term we have an outing to the park and social events for the adults. The program is organised by a team of dedicated volunteers from St Matts and is overseen by our St Matts Community Chaplain, Allison Thursby. We seek to support parents/carers in their parenting and offer practical support as needs arise. Our desire is to reflect the love of Jesus to those in our community.
If you are a parent or carer, you are welcome at Minis@Matts.
Alli Thursby helps to oversee all our community services, with a bright spark and an ever-present smile. Kids, parents and carers all love her, and she's the best person to chat to about Mini's@Matts.
